Perry-Lecompton 59, Maranatha 37
• The Kaws faced a 3-point halftime deficit but took control with a 21-5 advantage in the third quarter in improving to 7-5 and moving into the tournament championship game. Sophomore Kyle Morgison scored 15 points, sophomore Shane Gimzo scored 11 and senior Brian Hastert scored 11 in the win. Perry-Lecompton will face Bishop Ward at 7 p.m. tonight in the championship game.
Consolation semis
JCN 57, Oskaloosa 46
• JCN was up by 10 at the half and hung on to win by 11 and move to 7-3. The Bears dropped to 1-8. Senior Drew Kraxner led the Chargers with 25 points, junior Luke Noll scored 10 and senior Wes Weishaar added 10 in the win. Oskaloosa was led by 15 points from junior Brock McGinnis and 10 points from sophomore Chase Tenpenny. The win moved JCN into the fifth-place game while Oskaloosa was set to play for seventh place.
McLouth 52, Valley Falls 37
• McLouth took a 21-2 lead after one quarter and built it to 27 after three quarters in moving to 4-6. Valley Falls dropped to 0-11. Senior Trevor Keling scored 21 points and senior Andrew Booth scored 12 to lead the Bulldogs. The Dragons were led by 9 points from freshman Mitchell Streeter. McLouth was set to play JCN for fifth while Valley Falls was set to play Oskie for seventh. JCN and McLouth play in the new gym at 4 p.m. while Valley Falls and Oskaloosa play in the old gym at 4 p.m. today.

Girls
McLouth 49, Cornerstone 28
• A 14-2 fourth quarter finished off the game for McLouth as the Bulldogs improved to 4-5. Freshman Missy Rome scored 17 points and freshman Kylie Shufflebarger added 11 in the victory.
ACCHS 40, JCN 25
• The Tigers jumped out to a 14-2 lead after one quarter and held off the Chargers in the second half to drop JCN to 3-7. Freshman Sara Navinskey scored 6 points to lead JCN.
Mill Valley 46, Perry-Lecompton 44
• A 3-point lead after one quarter turned into a 4-point deficit at the half for the Kaws, who couldn’t climb back into the lead for good. They dropped to 3-9. Sophomore Ashleigh Allam scored 14 points and sophomore Emily Huerter added 12 in the loss.

• West fell back by 7 at halftime and slipped farther behind in the second half in dropping to 4-8. Junior Marcia Beecham and junior Nichelle Palmateer led the Tigers with 8 points each. The loss moved West into the seventh-place game versus Immaculata. That game is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in Tonganoxie.

• West was down by 3 at halftime but took a 1-point lead into the fourth quarter and didn’t look back in moving to 5-6. Junior Tom Shirley scored 24 and senior Brock Anderson scored 15 points for West in the victory. West moved into the fifth place game versus Lansing. That game is set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Tonganoxie.

• The Kaws picked up their third win of the season as they led, 35-20, at halftime and put the game away in the second half. They improved to 3-8. The Bears dropped to 4-4. Sophomore Ashleigh Allam led the Kaws with 28 points while four players led the Bears with 9 points each.

• The Kaws knocked down the top seed Chargers thanks to a 27-17 advantage in the fourth quarter that turned around a 5-point JCN lead entering the period. JCN senior Wes Weishaar scored 36 points but the Kaws had three players in double figures led by 19 from sophomore Shane Gimzo. Sophomore Kyle Morgison scored 16 and junior Caleb Denton scored 15 for Perry-Lecompton. The Kaws moved to 6-5 while JCN sank to 6-3.

• The game was tied at halftime before the Tigers pulled away in the third quarter and held on to win by 9 and drop McLouth to 3-6. Senior Andrew Booth led the Bulldogs with 16 points in the loss.
Maranatha 48, Oskaloosa 45 (OT)
• The Bears took a 2-point lead into the fourth quarter but Maranatha took them to overtime before the Eagles salvaged a win in the extra session to drop Oskie to 1-7. Junior Brock McGinnis led the Bears with 15 points and sophomore J.T. Thurston scored 10 points in the loss. The Bears play JCN in Friday’s consolation semis.
Bishop Ward 57, Valley Falls 39
• The tournament’s other top seed, Bishop Ward, gradually pulled away from the Dragons to win by 18 and drop Valley Falls to 0-10. Junior Cameron Bickford led the Dragons with 10 points in the loss. Valley Falls plays McLouth in Friday’s consolation semis.

• West fought back from a 5-point halftime deficit to force overtime before falling to the host Chieftains. Junior Tom Shirley led the Tigers with 30 points and was the only West player in double figures. West dropped to 4-6. The loss moved West into Thursday’s consolation semis against Pleasant Ridge.
