Boys
Bishop Ward 60, Perry-Lecompton 58
• The third time was the charm for Ward as they finally beat the Kaws on the third try this season. Perry-Lecompton had a 7-point halftime lead but a 24-19 Ward advantage in the fourth quarter helped the Cyclones drop the Kaws to 9-6. Sophomore Kyle Morgison scored 22 points and sophomore Andy Bowman scored 11 for the Kaws.

Semifinals
ACCHS 44, McLouth 22
• The Bulldogs dropped into Saturday’s third-place game by falling to ACCHS. McLouth moved to 5-6.
Rossville 55, Oskaloosa 29
• Rossville built a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter and outscored the Bears, 16-2, in the final period to drop Oskie to 5-5. Senior Lindsey Ottensmeier led the Bears with 10 points. Oskaloosa would square off with McLouth for third place Saturday.
Consolation semis
Valley Falls 42, Maranatha 33
• The Dragons moved to 4-8 with the win and moved into Saturday’s fifth-place game.
Perry-Lecompton 41, JCN 31
• The Kaws took a 7-point lead into the locker room at the half only to see JCN trim it to 3 by the start of the fourth quarter. The Kaws turned it on in the fourth quarter to win by 10 and move to 4-10. JCN dropped to 3-9. Sophomore Ashleigh Allam scored 11 and senior Maggie McPherson and sophomore Emily Huerter scored 10 each for the Kaws. Freshman Mallory Grand Pre led the Chargers with 8 points.
