County volleyball update

Sept. 25 games

Jefferson West def. Nemaha Valley, 18-25, 27-25, 25-14
Jefferson West def. Maur Hill Mt. Academy, 25-10, 25-22
Nemaha Valley def. Jefferson West, 25-21, 25-22 (JV)
Jefferson West def. MHMA, 25-20, 25-21 (JV)
• West’s varsity swept the home triangular while the JV split.

Oskaloosa def. Doniphan West, 25-23, 25-18
Oskaloosa def. McLouth, 25-16, 25-18
Doniphan West def. McLouth, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19
• The Bears swept two games at McLouth to move to 9-0 in the Delaware Valley League and 16-5 overall.Junior Nicole Rockhold had 18 kills on the day while junior Whitney Artman had 13 kills and senior Emily Heston had 33 assists and 9 aces. McLouth went 1-2 in the home triangular.

• Oskaloosa won the tournament at 5-0 while Valley Falls was third at 3-2 and McLouth was fourth at 2-3. Oskaloosa improved to 21-5 overall as Artman and Rockhold were named to the all-tourney team. McLouth junior Kylie Shufflebarger also made the team, as did Valley Falls seniors Rebekah Bunde and Sadie Tichenor and junior Shelbie Glissman.
